The beginnings of a new painting. 8 x 10 inches. I have the perfect frame to become part of the art. :) Blue graphite for most of the painting, white ink for the highlights and the deer.
The scanner did a horrible job. It hates pencil lines.
Here are two small paintings going in my etsy shop today. The scanner really washed out some of the finer details.

More Creatures! I’m also making a forest photo prop out of dowels, but only a few of the trees are finished.
And I’ve just signed a contract to have some of my creatures sold at another store. Hopefully I can get a few sales through there. The links will be posted when the store is finally up and running. (supposedly early march!)

The rest has been declared a disaster zone.
Long Week
This week has been very long. Woke up monday with a nasty sore throat and spent a couple of days getting worse before it started to go away.
Today, however, has been very productive.
I finished my painting of Sophie, my dog.
I’ll post better photos when I have them.

This is the reason I’m going to be sick of painting fur in a few weeks. :)
I think that the leg needs to be longer. And I have no idea what colors I want to use yet.
How wonderful to wake up and discover four items have sold! Thank you to my wonderful customers! However, that ACEO is my absolute favorite. I’m kind of sad to see it go.
A painting in progress. I’ve painted lots of pet portraits for other people, but never for myself. After I finish this one, I plan to paint the cats. Then maybe even the guinea pig.
