Mortimer! My new favorite creature!

Get him here:

In other news…

I have lots of ceramic clay! I’ve been making beads, pendants and other random things. There’s even a little monster who is nearly dry. My kiln fund is growing slowly, but I wish it would go faster!

O.O

Wow! In one day, I have surpassed all of April’s views and favorites in my etsy shop.

And everyone is probably tired of pictures of this creature, but he sold in two days! (and added a huge amount to my kiln fund!) :-D Thank you to my wonderful customer! I hope you love him as much as I do.

So many new followers!  Use the coupon code TUMBLRFREESHIP135 in my Etsy shop to get free shipping on any order!

The beast is finished!

A New Creature!

A New Creature!

The bear is done! I still have to varnish him. Far too many hours of work went into this thing, but the moss is awesome! And I guess he needs a name…

Things

Here are some things finished recently. All are available in my etsy shop, www.dragonstarart.com

When the crackle paste refuses to crack properly, use it to make moss! The bear is slowly being worked on.

Edit: I used golden crackle paste and tinted it with green paint. I brushed it on and jabbed it with the brush bristles to give it a little more texture. The paste already has a sandy, gritty texture. Now I’m working on adding a darker green to the moss. The entire piece will be antiqued, then I will drybrush a lighter green onto the moss and paint any small details I want to add.
